Hello 2011

Following holiday (over)indulgence Budapest is getting rid of Christmas symbols. Streets are lined with sad little fellas that used to be evergreen.

Some are completely dry and bald. When were they bought?

This one looks like it was punished.

We must get rid of the evidence!

This one is lying next to its still alive friends in front of the Applied Arts Museum.

Sure signs of winter in the city: abandoned Christmas tree and a little pile of dying snow.

This is a little kitschy thing in Montenegrin fast food. Serbians (and Russians) are keeping their New Year trees and decorations till January 14, the Old New Year Orthodox-style.
