The second Palinka and Sausage festival will be held this year from 7 to 10 October in Buda Castle.
Festivals like this one are quite frequent in Budapest for an obvious reason: they are popular with locals and tourists, and they offer two things that interest everyone, food and drink!
Drink will be represented by fifteen manufacturers of palinka, Hungarian fruit brandy with flavours of plum, apricot, pear or honey. Food will be offered by ten sausage makers, and from them you will learn a thing or two about spices or famous hairy Mangalica pig.
Visitors are welcome every day from noon until midnight. Naturally, the entertainment is part of the program with folk, jazz and dance.
