Christmas is on

The traditional Christmas market on Vörösmarty tér opened last weekend to stay till 29th of December is always a hit with locals and visitors to Budapest.

In over 100 wooden pavilions you will find many craft and handmade products, from jewellery to toys to fur hats.

This is the biggest free entry outdoor event in Budapest during Holiday season with Advent calendar on the facade of Gerbeaud coffeehouse, colourful Christmas tree and festive lights.

Visitors can also enjoy concerts while keeping warm with hot wine and traditional sausages.

This season, the nearby Fashion Street also has stalls to have a snack and browse through gifts.

Bean soup
